Andrew Stevan Kirby

Andrew S. “Corky” Kirby, 81, of Water View, passed away on Monday, November 25th, 2024.

He was a member of Cornerstone Fellowship Church where he was instrumental in the parking lot ministry. He loved the Lord and his wife, Patricia, of 33 years with all his heart and was the most devoted husband. Corky worked for Chesapeake Corporation for 8 years. He was an avid lifelong farmer and was very passionate about agriculture. He loved working in his garden every year. Corky was all about family and friends. There were very few he came across that were a stranger to him and for anyone that knew him knew he was quite the prankster. 

Corky is the son of the late A.J. and Florine Kirby. He was preceded in death by his son, David Kirby; a grandson, Caleb Garnett; and his brother, Tom Kirby. Corky is survived by his wife, Patricia Kirby; children, Donna Garnett (Nathan) and Cathy Cameron; step-children, Crystal Burch (Michael), Donna Sickal, and Lori Seawell (Shawn); grandchildren, Jacob Kirby, Brooke Kirby, Amanda Taylor (Ronnie) , Cole Garnett, and Amelia Taylor (Wayne); step-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Lawson (Clint), Zebulon Burrell, Jr., Lyndsay Galyen (Jamie), Joe William Anderson, Lynne Burch, Zach Burch, and Shawn ”Jr” Seawell,II; nine great grandchildren; siblings, Dale White, Janet Kirby, and Minnie Burch (Ray); and a host of nieces and nephews. Corky also loved his two furry sidekicks Spot & Buddy. 

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 15th, 2024, at Cornerstone Fellowship Church, Cobbs Creek, VA at 4:00 pm. The family will start receiving friends at 3:00 pm until the services starts. Arrangements by Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, VA.
