Anita Wrightson

Anita South Wilson Wrightson, a lifelong resident of Saluda and widow of Robert E. Wilson, Sr. died Saturday, August 27, 2016. She was born in Saluda on May 7, 1934 to Muriel Davis and Frank South. Anita graduated from Middlesex High School and Smithdeal-Massey Business College. She is survived by her husband, George W. Wrightson; sons, Robert E. Wilson, Jr. (Bobby) and his wife, Cindy, F. Davis Wilson and wife Cathy. Grandchildren, Robbie, Wesley, Heather and Kelly; great granddaughter, Shannon. Step-sons, George W. Wrightson, Jr. and wife, Gina, Mickey Wrightson and wife Cheryl. A graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, 11408 Salem Church Road, Gloucester, VA. Rev. Edward P. Harrow, Sr., Rev. Rita Staul and Rev. Robert Marsh will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:00 PM Monday at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. It is her request that instead of flowers, memorials be made to Children’s Hospital Foundation of Richmond at VCU, 2924 Brook Road, Richmond, VA 23220 or Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 or Salem UMC General Fund, 11408 Salem Church Road, Gloucester, VA 23061.
