Annice Johnson Winder, age 100, of Millers Tavern, VA passed away peacefully on February 7, 2022. A loving and devoted wife and mother, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Manrid Lewis Winder and their son, Francis Alvin Winder.
Annice was a homemaker and loved church, family, reading, gardening, and vacationing. She was a life long and oldest member of Howertons Baptist Church where she taught numerous Sunday School classes.
Survivors include her children, Manrid Lee Winder (Jane), Athey Tyrone Winder (Jackie), Faye Jeannette Lumpkin (Bobby), and Stephen Louis Winder (Patricia); 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 3 great, great grandchildren; a niece; 2 nephews; 4 cousins; and her loving caregiver, Shirley Cook.
A service to celebrate Annice’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2022 at Howertons Baptist Church in Dunnsville, VA. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.
