Annie Allen

Annie Laura Davis Allen, 86, of Tappahannock, Virginia passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Temple Allen.

Annie was a faithful member of Lebanon United Methodist Church for many years, where she played the organ, piano, and directed the choir. Music was her passion, and her friends and family loved to hear her play. Annie began her professional career as a legal secretary for the Lewis Law office where she was a loyal employee for 40 years. She continued her legal career as the Judge’s secretary for Judge Joseph Spruill until her retirement. Among Annie’s many friends was a special group named the “Roadrunners”. This group enjoyed many trips together.

Annie is survived by her daughters, Dawn Allen Jacobs-Plank (Mike) of Ashland, Wendy T. Allen of Tappahannock; and son, Troy Allen (Anne) of Tappahannock. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Chelsea Keyes, Conner Jacobs, and Brewer Allen, and one great grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 22 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Essex Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lebanon United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 157 Millers Tavern, VA 23115, and to the Tappahannock Volunteer Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 583, Tappahannock, Va. 22560.
