Anthony Franz, 68, of Port Haywood, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018. He was a retired sergeant with the U.S. Army. He was a very caring and loving person, and was dedicated to his family.
Tony was preceded in death by Henry and Henrietta Schatzberg, who raised him as a child. He is survived by his wife Amy Franz, and son Michael; brother, Mike Schatzberg (Barbara), nieces and nephews; Danielle Parker, Michael Schatzberg (Rekha), Tracy Stamm (Matt), Tammy Schatzberg and Brian Schatzberg (Michelle); great nephews and niece, Tyler Parker, Ryan Schatzberg, and Zachary and Madison Stamm.
A private family burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia is assisting the family with the arrangements.
