On Sunday, July 18th, Antoinette Bosia Blake passed away peacefully at her home in Hartfield, Virginia. She was the beloved wife of Jerrell Blake, Sr. (1940-1999) and mother to Jerrell Jr. (Carol) of California and Marie Morton (Allan) of Keswick, Ontario. She was the proud grandmother of Christopher and Gavin. She was predeceased by her parents Albert and Mary Bosia. Antoinette was a California girl at heart and lived most of her life in the Escalon and Oakdale area. She was a graduate of Escalon High School and Adrian's Beauty College, but dedicated most of her life's efforts to her family. During their marriage, Antoinette and her husband shared a love of art. Later in her life, opportunity brought her to live in Hartfield, Virginia, where she enjoyed the last 28 years of her life living in the Pipe-in-Tree community. She was an active member of the homeowner's association, serving both as Treasurer and President. She was loved and supported in that community in her later years. She will be buried in a private family ceremony at Burwood Cemetery in Escalon, California, returning to the fold of her extended Italian family who were so important to her. To honor her memory, the family requests that donations be made to the Hartfield Volunteer Fire Department.
