Betty Zane White, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Heron Cove at Sanders, Gloucester, VA. She retired from the U.S. Government at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. She was a member of Oriental Chapter No. 30, OES, Mathews, VA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold C. White and her daughter, Deborah L. Diggs. She survived by a brother, C. Eugene Ripley; son-in-law, James Diggs; sister-in-law, Audrey Ripley; a brother-in-law, John Robert Pierce and several nieces, and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 23, 2014 from 2 -3 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, Onemo, VA. A Funeral Service will be held at the church at 3:00 p.m. with burial to follow in Providence Cemetery, Mobjack, VA.
