Bonnie Penney

Bonnie Roberts Penney died at her home in Deltaville on February 12, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was predeceased by her parents, Irvin and Myrtle Roberts. She is survived by her husband of 29 years Seth, stepmother Shirley Roberts, brother Ken Roberts and Pat, sister Dale Baber, stepsister Lisa Wright and Donald, lifelong friend Kristi Lane and Greg, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bonnie was born and raised in Varina and graduated from Chickahominy Academy in 1978. She graduated Virginia Tech in 1982 with a BS in Marketing and a minor in English. She later earned an MBA from The University of Richmond. With her creative talents Bonnie excelled as a Product Developer for Colonial Williamsburg and later managed her own company specializing in design of children’s educational products for 18th Century museums. When not working Bonnie enjoyed few things more than a view of the river, her yellow Labrador Summer, and a good cup of coffee. She loved cooking and entertaining with friends and family and she had a special flair for writing about life’s events. A Memorial Service will be held at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home in Saluda Saturday February 22 at 11:00am. A reception will held immediately afterwards in Deltaville at the Rescue Squad building.
