Brenda Gleenette Gray of Mathews, Va., age 64, born on January 13th, 1948, took the hand of the Lord to walk in His kingdom on January 5th, 2013. Brenda is preceded in death by her son, David Wayne Roark; mother, Sarah Phillips; father, Cecil Stacey; and sister, Barbara Daniels.
Brenda is survived by her husband and soul mate of 37 years, Tom Gray; daughter, Bunny Cohen and husband, Paul; son, Michael Gray and fiancé, Jennifer; granddaughter, Casey Van Zanten and husband, Ryan; grandson, Nikki White and girlfriend, Madalyn; grandson, Alix Cohen; great-granddaughter, Bella Van Zanten; sister, Shelia Stacey; brother, David Stacey; best friend, Diana Hill; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
There will be a celebration of her life with the casting of her ashes on the beach of Nags Head, North Carolina, held at a later date. There will be another celebration of her life with family and friends in Denton Texas.
In lieu of flowers or cards, the family requests that memorial donations are made in her name to any dog rescue of your choice, to honor her memory.
