Calvin Haywood

Calvin Dean Haywood, 84, of Cobbs Creek, Virginia passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Riverside-Walter Reed Hospital, Gloucester, Virginia. He was a lifetime commercial waterman and a proud captain of the "Chris Cal". He was predeceased by a daughter, Jeannie Dunston and a great-grandson, Caleb. He is survived by his wife, Christine Haywood; daughters, Kathy Hudgins (Waverly), Patsy Brooks (Dickie), Glenda Owens (Stanford); a son, Nelson Morris (Pam); a son-in-law, Al Dunston; a brother, Charles Ben Haywood; nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Virginia. A Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 am in the funeral home Chapel with burial to follow in St. Paul Annex, Susan, Virginia. Memorial donations may be made to the Mathews Vol. Fire Dept. or to the Mathews Vol. Rescue Squad.
