Carol Knorr

December 31, 1969 — June 1, 2020

Carol Mae Knorr of Urbanna, and formerly of Hyattsville, Maryland, departed this life on June 1, 2020, after a long illness. Carol was predeceased in death by her parents John and Eleanor Knorr; brother, John Jr.; sister, June Baranek; and brother-in-law Robert Baranek. She is survived by her nieces, Patricia Hall (Craig) of Urbanna, Colleen Holladay (Bob) of Silver Spring, Maryland, nephew, Bobby Baranek, (Nancy) also of Silver Spring; and many great nephews and nieces.

Carol was employed by the World Bank in Washington, D.C. and upon retirement moved to Urbanna. Carol enjoyed looking out at her Rappahannock River view from her home on Perkins Creek. Carol had a passion for travel and enjoyed many memorable trips throughout the U.S. and abroad. Carol loved spending time with her friends, family, and pets. Carol was a member of Urbanna United Methodist Church, Catherine Green Circle, Hart Bible class, and was active in the Wednesday night church suppers, and volunteered with the Women’s Auxiliary of the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department of Urbanna.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Urbanna Cat Project, PO Box 277, Urbanna VA 23175 or the United Methodist Church Audio/Visual Fund, PO Box 217, Urbanna, VA 23175. The family would like to thank the staff at the Riverside Convalescent Center Saluda and Riverside Hospice Service. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, is assisting the family with arrangements.
