Catherine Lawson

Catherine Powell Lawson, 92, of Christ Church, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Catherine was a Godly woman and loved her family with her whole heart. She was a member of Harmony Grove Baptist Church. Catherine was preceded in death by her parents, Wilton and Lucy Powell, her brother, Thomas Powell, and her loving husband, Carey Meredith Lawson. Catherine was a dedicated and hard worker.  She worked Silco/Dollar General for many years, before retiring. She enjoyed reading, praying, and visiting with her sisters. But, nothing was more important to her than her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Catherine’s surviving family members include her daughter, Diana Lawson, and her son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Jackie Lawson, her three grandchildren, Candace German, Brittany Elias and Barron Lawson, and one great-granddaughter, Spencer L Elias. She has four surviving sisters, Louise Fulcher, Christine Williams, Doris Thrift, and Lois Daniel. A graveside memorial service will take place on Sunday, February 4th at 3:00 p.m. at Harmony Grove Baptist Church.
