Charles Michael Bankert, Jr., 92, of Wake, Virginia passed away September 30. He is survived by his son, Richard, two sisters, Carolyne (Thurman) Register of Henrico and Rita Harlow of Gloucester, two brothers Robert (Ann) Bankert of Buchanan, VA, George (Dot) Bankert of Richmond and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Mary and his son, Thomas and three sisters.
He was a WWII Veteran, Retired Navy after 30+ years of military service. He was a member of Lower United Methodist Church, Hartfield, Va. A Memorial Service will be held at Lower United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
