SALUDA

Charles Frederick Healy, 76, died Thursday, September 20, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at his Saluda, Virginia home. He was predeceased by his mother and father Bernice and E.L. Healy, and two brothers, Thomas Eugene and Milton Lee Healy. Healy is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Anita Healy; three daughters: Jennifer Edwards (William), Angie Switzer (Tod) and Melanie Marquis (Linc); five grandchildren: Tommy Cleek (Joelle), Michael Edwards (Claibourne), Kaitlin Edwards, Sarah Switzer, and Lincoln Marquis; three great-granddaughters: Sadie Vance Edwards, Victoria Cleek and Tristen Goodman; two sisters: Evelyn Morgan, Ann Nelson and two brothers: Edward Healy and James Healy. Healy was a member of Forest Chapel United Methodist Church in Warner, Virginia. He formed lifelong friendships during his employment with Southland Life Insurance Company where he began as an agent in 1958 and retired as a Regional Vice President in 1991. He was a 55-year Mason, serving as Past Master of Urbanna, Virginia Lodge #83; District Deputy Grand Master of 11th Masonic District; District Instructor of Work for 11th Masonic District, and a 50-year member of Royal Arch Chapter #59 in Urbanna, VA, serving as Past High Priest. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. Interment in Forest Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, Warner, VA. Masonic Memorial Services will be held 4:00 PM Saturday (today) at the funeral home followed by family visitation until 7:00 PM.
