Charles Newman Thomas

Newman Thomas, 68, of Deltaville, passed away peacefully at his home on June 29, 2024.

He loved to travel to Tangier Island to document his family history and to take pictures of the island and his many friends. Newman enjoyed his coffee every morning and watching the sunrise over his beloved Jackson Creek. Newman retired from Dupont with 40 years of service in 2021. 

He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Annie Lee Thomas and his sister Marilyn C Thomas.

He is survived by his brother Wayne (Diane) Thomas, his nieces, Marianne, Madison and nephew, MacLean.

 A memorial service will be held at Philippi Christian Church in Deltaville on Thursday, July 11 at 11:00 A.M., followed by a reception in the fellowship hall. Any memorial contributions can be made to any organization to benefit the people of Tangier Island.

Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, is assisting the family.
