In the quiet afternoon of July 23, 2020, Clarence E Marshall slipped away to be greeted in heaven by his son Michael, his parents Roger and Florence “Pearl”, his sisters, Elfie and Joyce, and his brothers, Wilton, Sr., Earl, and Vernon.
Uncle Mo as many knew him never met a stranger and loved playing his guitar and singing with his fellow family and friends. A waterman by trade he owned and operated C. E Marshall Seafood, Inc. for 40 years. He was a member of Hermitage Baptist Church for over 50 years serving as a deacon and singing in the choir.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Janet of 66 years, daughter, Vicky Timmons, grandchildren Ashley and Marshall Timmons, and Chris Marshall. He will be missed by his three great-grandchildren who he dearly loved, Michaela, Abi, and Carley Marshall. His brother Albert Marshall (Jean) and sister Christine Ware., and many nieces and nephews. As well as a special friend, Mattie Pittman.
Visitation will be held at Hermitage Baptist Church, Saturday, July 25th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 26th at 2:00 PM at Hermitage Baptist Church and intermit to follow. Arrangements made by Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, Va. Please be advised that current state mandated guidelines will apply to all in attendance, including social distancing and appropriate face covering. We sincerely appreciated your understanding.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Upper Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department or to Hermitage Baptist Church.
