Curtis Melvin Elbourn, 69, of Center Cross departed this life on November 22, 2013. He was born on September 12, 1944. Curtis was predeceased by his wife Ruby Lee, and parents Bud & Corintha Elbourn. He is survived by his daughter Jannie Mann (Stuart); grandchildren Melinda Bryant, Tyler Moore, and Brianna Moore; brother Carroll “Whitey” Elbourn; and numerous other family members and friends. Curtis grew up on the water, working on fish boats and oystering and crabbing with his family, which fostered a life-long love of the water. He served in the U.S. Army, and retired from Apac after approximately 25 years of service as a mechanic. After retirement, he spent his time on the water and traveling. Curtis’ life was celebrated on Monday, November 25 at Remlik Wesleyan Church. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
