Curtis Lane

Curtis “Rock” Elias Lane, Sr. 88, of Water View, a loving husband and father, and retiree of Norfolk Naval Supply Center in Norfolk passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 4, 2015 after a sudden illness. He was born and raised in Hertford, NC and resided in Water View, VA for the past twenty nine years. He was a faithful member of Hermitage Baptist Church. Predeceased by his loving wife of sixty five years, Margaret Cahoon Lane, and survived by his son, Curtis Lane, Jr. of Virginia Beach and a daughter, Brenda Smith of Chesapeake; a sister, Edna Russell of Saluda, VA; three granddaughters, Stephanie Phillips, Stacy Crawley, Shanna Mohrman and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Hermitage Baptist Church, Church View, VA. Interment at Hermitage Baptist Church Cemetery, following the service. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8:30 pm Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home, 15 C. F. Edwards Lane, Saluda, VA.
