David Kirby

David Andrew Kirby, 51, of Water View passed away at his home November 26, 2018. He is survived by his children Tazwell Jacob and Kristin Brooke Kirby, his father Andrew Stevan (Corky) Kirby and his wife Patricia all of Water View, his mother Alice Mae Gresham Kirby Carlton and her husband Daniel of Hartfield, sisters Donna Kirby Garnett and her husband Nathan (Duppie) of Water View and Catherine Kirby Cameron of Urbanna. He is also survived by nephew Nathan Coleman (Cole) Garnett of Water View and nieces Amanda Kate Garnett Taylor and her husband Ronnie of Glen Allen and Amelia Christian Garnett Taylor and her husband Wayne of Church View, great nieces Isabella Marie and Aubrey Mae Taylor and great nephew Nathan Bennett Taylor.

He was born January 16, 1967 and spent his life farming as did many generations of his family before him. His love of the land was passed along to his children and he took great pride in their accomplishments. He loved laughing and playing jokes but he was happiest when sharing knowledge with younger generations. He will be remembered for his contagious smile, quick wit, and willingness to help others in need. Memorial contributions to benefit his children may be made to the Kirby Memorial Fund at Sonabank.
