Dennis Henry Brandenburg, 61, of Hardyville passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Tuesday April 13th, 2021. He was born on September 25, 1959 in Yokohama, Japan to Charles and Mary Brandenburg. He was the owner of DHB Commercial Improvement and Maintenance, and the former owner of Shorty’s Coastal Comfort food truck.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Curtis, Frances, Kevin; his sisters, Pam, Rosemary; and his mother-in-law, Charlotte Slaughter.
He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Pamela Slaughter Brandenburg; his beloved pets, Izzy, Pebbles, Roscoe, and Gracie Leigh; his three children, Danny, Shawn, and Amanda; several grandchildren; brother, Paul (Janet) Brandenburg of South Carolina; sister, Marcia (Ruben) Brandenburg Perez of Texas; several nieces/nephews; his father-in-law, Kelly Slaughter of Deltaville; his sister-in-law, Becky (Joey) Revere of Hartfield; his brother-in-law, Rusty (Kaye) Slaughter of Newport News; and his nieces, Ashley Slaughter, Kelly and Haley Revere who loved Uncle Dennis for his joking around and good cooking.
Per Dennis’ requests, there will be no services. Memorial gifts in Dennis' memory can be made to the Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society or Middlesex County Rescue Squad, Deltaville.
