Diane Rousseau Sullivan, 75, of Tappahannock passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her loving husband Ed Sullivan; children Stephanie Rowe and Jeremy Sullivan; sons-in-law, Norman Rowe and Ryan Scales; four beautiful granddaughters, Winter, Bella, Lucy, and Zoe Rowe; brother David Rousseau and his wife Maureen. Diane was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Pauline Rousseau of Rochester, NH.
Diane retired from the Department of the Navy where she was a supervisory editor for over 40 years, overseeing the publication of Navy documents and reports for which she received much recognition. She was a very active member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, heading up several parish ministries. She loved her church family and serving others. Diane would always say her family and God were all that she needed in life. She was a selfless, loving, and dedicated daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She will be missed by all who knew her, living on in our hearts forever.
A viewing will be held at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Tappahannock on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at 10:00 am followed by Mass at 11:00 am. The beautiful Fr. Dollard Memorial Garden at the church will be her resting place. Father Gerald Musuubire will officiate the Mass located at 413 St Timothy Lane Tappahannock, VA 22560.
