Dixie Canter

Dixie Elizabeth Canter, 69, of Urbanna, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. She retired as General Manager at the Thrift Inn Motel. Dixie was very strong willed, loving, positive, independent and compassionate. She enjoyed reading, spending time with her family and friends, helping others, and watching football; especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Young and the Restless. She is survived by her children, Denise Wade and Dennis Canter, Jr.; grandchildren, Jeramee and Joshua Wade, Joseph Edmund and Timothy Canter; sisters, Blanche McClure and Elsie Church; son-in-law, Frank Wade, and daughter-in-law, Anita Canter. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 15, 2018 at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private at a later date.
