Donald Eriksen

Donald Thomas Eriksen, Sr., 91, of Foster, Virginia passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He operated his own floor sanding and refinishing business for over 50 years. Donald was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He was predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Mary Eriksen; and his beloved wife, Elinor Grubb Eriksen. He is survived by his children, Betty Jane Duncan (Charles), Donna Curcio (Carl), Debbie Lunsford, Teresa Percic (Keith), and Tommy Eriksen (Lorna); grandchildren, Erik Davis, Stephanie Smith (Jay), Daniel Lunsford (Elizabeth), Caleb Lunsford, Samuel Lunsford (Lauren), Rebekah Lunsford, Keith Percic (Shelley), Scott Percic, Angie Cheek (Troy), Kaitlin Eriksen, Whitney Eriksen, and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 9:00am-10:00 am on Saturday, December 24th. at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Virginia followed by a Funeral Service at 10am. Burial will follow at Smithers Cemetery, Hudgins, Virginia. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in Pop's memory to the American Heart Association or to the Mathews Vol. Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 723, Mathews, Virginia 23109.
