Dora Brightwell

Dora Irene Brightwell, 83, of Upright, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022. She was a member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Dora was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who deeply cared for her community.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one true love of 47 years, William Jesse Brightwell; and her oldest son, James Jesse Brightwell.

She is survived by her three children, Diane Krieger, William Patrick Brightwell, and Timmy Brightwell; grandchildren, Jennifer Bacon, Kimberly Krieger, William Patrick Brightwell II, and James Mark Brightwell.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Ephesus Baptist Church, Dunnsville, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock is assisting the family with arrangements.
