Dorothy Lockhart

Dorothy A. Lockhart, 84, of Saluda, VA, formerly of Reliance, died Monday, April 27, 2015, in Saluda. Mrs. Lockhart was born March 4, 1931 in Reliance; the daughter of Harry P. Rinker and Thurza Headley Rinker. She retired as a school bus driver for Volusia County (FL) Public Schools. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Robin & Gordon Jones; grandchildren, Marshall Jones, Laura Ward, Bobby Lockhart and Jaime Sackett; six great grandchildren; sisters Eleanor Faye Migliore and Barbara Jean Frameli; step children, Billy Lockhart and Barbara Lester. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert “Jim” Lockhart; a sister, Mary Lee Dysart; and a brother, Irving Rinker. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Chapel in Stephens City with Rev. Dr. William N. Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Reliance Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
