Dorothy Schefflein

Dorothy Smith Schefflien, 77, of Tappahannock, passed peacefully on Tuesday, February 19, 2019, with her sons by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Schefflien Sr. She is survived by her two sons, Charles F. (Frankie) Schefflien Jr. of Elizabeth City, N.C. and Harvey Ernst (Ernie) Schefflien (Stephanie); three grandchildren, Kyle and Logan Schefflien, Lauren Dip (Johnny); three great-grandchildren, Landon and Ty Schefflien, Bronwyn Dip; one brother, Alfred Smith of Richmond; one sister, Olive King of Haynesville; and her extended Riverside Health System co-workers.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2019, at the Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. Interment Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Riverside Tappahannock Hospice, 289 Hospital Rd., Tappahannock, Va. 22560.
