Dorothy Walther

Dorothy M. Walther, age 88, of Cobbs Creek, passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2013. Dorothy moved to Cobbs Creek in 1975 and retired from New Jersey Bell Telephone Co. as a pioneer, serving for 35 years. She was active in the Mathews County Meals on Wheels Program, a member of Reedswood Christain Church and loved to garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Walther and is survived by two brothers, Morton and Frank Baldwin of Crew, VA, three sisters, Mary Lou Hamilton of Burkesville, VA, Marie Hodges of Crew, VA and Rachael Clarke of Troy, VA, two grandsons, Scott Walther of Texas and Thomas Walther (Lisa) of New Jersey, one great granddaughter, Cameron Walther and nephews John and B.J. Moody of Mobjack, VA.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday evening, November 4, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home Chapel, Mathews, VA with visitation following the service. Graveside services will be private on Tuesday in the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia.
