Dudley Case Eads, 77, of Hardyville, Virginia went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, December 29, 2018. He served in the United States Navy as a corpsman. He was a retired police sergeant for the Prince Georges County Police Department in Maryland. Dudley was an active member and deacon of Zoar Baptist Church, and previously a deacon at Fellowship Baptist Church in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James & Veada Eads, his sister, Barbara Mathews Straughan and brothers-in-law, William Mathews and Edward Schauf. Known for his dedication and love for his family, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Brann Eads; son Troy Eads (Kathy) of Lowell, IN; daughter Jenny Eads Crittenden (Tommy) of Deltaville; six grandchildren, Drew Eads, Vaughan Crittenden, Candace Eads Nuss, Allison Crittenden, Kyle Eads and Madison Eads; a great-grandson, Easton Eads; sister, Judy Schauf of Hanover, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Zoar Baptist Church with the Reverend John Snow officiating. Interment will follow in Philippi Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1- 3 p.m. Monday, December 31st at the Faulkner Funeral Home, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, VA. Pallbearers will be Drew Eads, Vaughan Crittenden, Kyle Eads, Tommy Crittenden, Scott Mathews and Ryan Schauf. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad or Zoar Baptist Church Debt Reduction Fund.
