Edna Moody

Edna Mae Moody, age 87, of Center Cross, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. She was a loving homemaker who loved her flowers and a big garden to feed the community and her family. She was employed at Riverside Tappahannock Hospital for 34 years as a Physical Therapist. She loved her coworkers as well as her patients and always strived to provide them the best care possible.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerome Sharon Moody and Julian B. “Bub” Moody, Jr. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Julian B. Moody, Sr.; two daughters, Judy Haile and June Elliott; one son, Joel M. Moody; grandson, Brian Heath Bareford and a great grandson, James Temple “J.T.” Bareford. The family wishes to thank Riverside Hospice for all their loving care and support during her illness with special thanks to “Cathy” for going beyond the call of duty.

In keeping with Edna Mae’s wishes, there will be no formal services scheduled. Her family thanks everyone for their continued love and support during this difficult time. Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock is assisting the family.
