Edna Ward

Edna Hemby Ward, 97, of Lakewood Manor, went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband , Clifton Lee Ward, her parents ,Mattie and Frank Hemby, her brother, F.J.Hemby, Jr. and sisters, Louise Harper and Frances Wightman. She is survived by her nieces, Brenda Cherry, Cean Cawthorn and nephew Frank Harper and 10 great nieces and nephews. Edna was a loving, caring, gentle woman who was loved by all. She will be greatly missed. Her family wishes to thank the staff at Lakewood Manor for their extraordinary care and love. Our sincere gratitude goes to Medi Home Health & Hospice for their care and support. Graveside services will be Monday, April 20, 2015, 11:30 a.m. at Westhampton Memorial Park & Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lakewood Manor Benevolent Fund, 1900 Lauderdale Drive, Henrico, VA 23238.
