Edward O. Kegley, Sr., age 78, of Urbanna died Sunday, August 19, 2012. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and a retired hardware salesman. Ed was a member of Urbanna United Methodist Church, the Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department and its auxiliary. Survived by his wife, Dorothy J. Kegley; his children, Edward O. Kegley, Jr. of Springfield, Charlotte A. Shoaff of Saluda, Karen M. Alexander of Camden, DE., David C. Kegley of Urbanna, Trina Charnock of King & Queen; a sister, Patricia Tate of Fredericksburg, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Thursday, August 23, 2012 in Urbanna United Methodist Church. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8pm Wednesday at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Saluda. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to Middlesex Volunteer Fire Department,PO Box 71,Urbanna,VA23175.
