Edward Payne

Edward R. Payne, Sr., 86, of Urbanna U.S. Army Korean War veteran, waterman and a retiree from the Virginia Marine Resources Commission passed away Monday, May 1, 2017. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Bryant Payne; children, Katherine P. Brown (Booker), Ross Payne (Lynn), Mike Payne (Cristy), Henry Payne (Kim); a sister, Catherine Via; a brother, Jonsey Payne (Shirley); grandchildren, Sharon Kirk (Jason), Christopher Brown and Ryan Payne; great grandchildren, Riley, Rachel, Mason and Nathan and a brother-in-law, Dale Taylor. Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday in Urbanna United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Middlesex Memorial Cemetery, Urbanna. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to the Urbanna United Methodist Church, P.O.
