Eileen Ripley

Eileen Miles Ripley, 97, of Susan, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Mathews Woman’s Club, Friends of the Mathews Library, United Methodist Women’s Guild, The Red Hats Club and the Central Village Homemakers Club.

She was predeceased by her parents, G. Wendell Miles and Marion G. Miles and a brother, Alden Miles.

She is survived by her husband of 76 years, Arnold C. Ripley; a daughter, Brenda Ripley (Ray); two sons, Arnold Ripley Jr. (Cheryl), and Wesley Ripley (Elizabeth); and a granddaughter, Sidney Ripley.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Susan, Virginia followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will follow the service in Friendship Cemetery. A reception will be held after in the church social hall. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to the Mathews Community Foundation, P.O.
