Elizabeth Rennie Johnson

Elizabeth Rennie Johnson (Betty) was born on April 26, 1929 in Baltimore, Maryland and raised in Deltaville where she resided. Betty died on Friday, November 8, 2024 after a short illness.

In her younger years, she taught swimming lessons to many children in the Deltaville area. Betty also worked in local banks and was Dr. Felton’s receptionist for over thirty years. In her later years she enjoyed traveling. Betty visited twenty-three countries, many were mission trips.

Betty was a very active member of Zoar Baptist Church and she also attended Clarksbury Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oran Johnson and son-in-law, Steve Milton.

She is survived by her children; Cathy Milton, James “Jimmy” Johnson (Mary), David Johnson (Brenda); seven grandchildren, Andy, Lori, Michele, Kristin, Amanda, Kelly and Rennie. Six great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral service is planned for Friday, November 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Zoar Baptist Church, Deltaville where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Zoar Baptist Church or Middlesex Volunteer Rescue Squad both in Deltaville.

The family would like to express gratitude to the staff at Dockside Rehabilitation Center in Locust Hill for the care she received.
