Emmett Wilson Adams Jr.

Emmett Wilson Adams, Jr., 87, passed away, January 19, 2024.

During his working career, Emmett was a IBEW Local Union 147 member and worked as a heavy equipment operator. He just recently received his 50 year certificate, plaque and watch. Emmett loved working on vehicles, lawn mowers and any type of engine and loved being outdoors.  He collected race car memorabilia and was an avid Bill Elliott Fan.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis Ball Adams of 29 years; daughters, Barbara (George), Susan (Curt) and Becky (Tommy); sons, Danny and Chris; brothers, Dill, Billy (Rosa)and Jerry; and a sister Lilly (Billy).

Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, Emmett and Ellen Adams; son, Bobby; brothers, Roger and Scott; sisters, Jayne and Shirley.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Bristow-Faulkner Funeral Home, Saluda, VA. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.   Interment will follow at New Hope Methodist Church Cemetery.
