Epaphro Ditus Owens, III

Epaphro D. “Pat” Owens III, 83, of Mathews, Virginia passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehab- Mathews. He was a member of Bethel Church of Mathews. Pat was a graduate of Mathews High School Class of 1960 and also graduated from a school for mechanics in Danville. He operated Owens Motor Repair in Mathews. Cars and motors were his employment and also his hobby. For Pat there was nothing better than a good car show. Pat valued his friends and family and was always glad to help out  those in need.

He was predeceased by his parents, Captain Epaphro Ditus Owens, Jr. and Mabel Ward Owens; a sister, Nancy Ellen Lewis.

He is survived by his sister, Mary O. Clements; a niece, Leah Lewis; a great niece, Candace Bunting; nephews, Mark and Robbie Bunting and Brian Lewis; great nephews, Garrett Lewis and Andrew Pavlick and many cousins.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 12, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews with a graveside service to follow at 12:30 p.m. at Milford Cemetery, Moon, Virginia.
