Frances Beale Berry

Frances Beale Berry, age 82, of Bruington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, whom she loved dearly. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother. She was very caring, compassionate, and loved all children.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Berry, Jr, and her mother, Ruth Beale. 

She is survived by her father, Lee Randolph Beale; her sisters, Brenda Miller (Eddie) and Lorraine Wilson (Vince); her children, son, Eddie Berry (Robin); and son, Mark Berry (Karen); grandchildren, Brittney Sgroi (Jes), Lacey Fletcher (Jake), Ashley Withers (Garrett), and Kristen Berry (Keegan); five great-grandchildren, Hudson, Millie, Mac, Alden and Lee; and several nieces and nephews.

She retired from Richmond County Department of Social Services as the Supervisor of Benefit Programs, where she worked for 31 years. She also worked at Essex County Department of Social Services for three years. Frances was a member, where she served as an Elder of Smyrna Christian Church.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-8 p.m.on Thursday, April 10th, 2025 at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, 206 N Church Lane, Tappahannock, Virginia, 22560. A funeral will be held on Friday, April 11th, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Smyrna Christian Church, 3655 Powcan Road, Bruington, VA, 23023.
