Frances Sniegon Ruark, age 76, of Deltaville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 18th, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Charles A. Ruark (Duck), daughter, Cheryl R. Thompson (special friend Joseph Furr), son, Thomas A. Ruark (Valerie), grandchildren; Matthew, Candice and Travis Thompson, step-grandson, Tyler Dorsey, great-grandchildren; Kamron, Skyler and Savannah. Also survived by her siblings, Ginny, John (JoAnne), Eddie (Iva), Marvin Sniegon and Rose (Bill) Lovelace. Predeceased by her parents, Adolph and Annie Sniegon and great grandson, Matthew Ray Thompson, Jr. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their extended families who loved her dearly.
Her strong faith was a shining example to all who knew and loved her. She served her lord at Philippi Christian Church as an Elder, Teacher and wherever she was needed. Frances was known for her beautiful heartfelt prayers that touched many hearts. She was a life member of the Middlesex County Volunteer Rescue Squad Auxiliary.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday in Philippi Christian Church. Interment Philippi Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the Church.
