Frances Cornelius Williams

Frances Cornelius “Frannie” Williams, 95, of Mathews, Virginia passed away on Monday, September 9, 2024. Frances was born in Pennsylvania on March 25, 1929, to the late James McCallister and Marjorie Esther McCallister. She loved to hear her sisters, Tomasina and Victoria sing, and she enjoyed spending time with Mrs. Bea. Mrs. Bea, while working at RCC, provided Frances loving, kindness, care, and attention and is a blessing to the family then and now. While a resident at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehab in Mathews, she enjoyed seeing Christmas lights and doing activities with Mr. Richard. Frances enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, and visiting Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Marjorie, McCallister and her son, Herman Williams, and her sisters Juanita Muse, Bernetta Overton, Marie Hill and her brothers James McCallister and Roscoe Williams.

Frances is loved and survived by her children, Esther Owings, Walter Owings, and Star Johnson as well as her two sisters Tomasina -Johnson James and Victoria Blackshear; twelve grandchildren; twelve-plus great-grandchildren, and a host of many nieces and nephews to cherish her memory.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia with a Celebration of Life to immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. She will be laid to rest in Windsor Gardens Cemetery, Dutton, Virginia.
