Frank Lloyd Ashworth, Jr. (Papaw), 62, was called home on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 to be with his parents, Frank, Sr. and Venus Ashworth and his brother Roger Ashworth.
He split his time between Virginia and Tennessee with his family, and fishing for which he won many awards. His kindness however was the true gift to those around him. He was always willing to help someone and wanted nothing in return. No matter what, he was always happy and never complained about anything. He was a very grateful person and showed his love to all.
He is survived by his sisters Sandra Carlson (Bill) and Valerie Scott; niece, Kristy; nephews, Brian, Daniel. Lucas, Stephen and great nephew, Parker; a daughter, Valerie Davis (Marvin); 3 grandchildren, Ashley Davis-Jackson, Amber Corley and Andrew Davis; 5 great-grandchildren, Damian, Luca, Benny, Aurora, and Theodore (Teddy-Theo), and his best friend, Parke Shelton.
A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Faulkner Funeral Home, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, Virginia. Please be advised that state-mandated guidelines will apply to all in attendance, including social distancing, and appropriate face coverings.
