Fredrik Hall Forsberg died on April 27, 2018 after a long period of declining health. He was born in Norfolk on December 9, 1930 and was the son of Mildred and Morris Forsberg. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bruce Koolage Forsberg, and his three children, Stuart McClintic (Will), Clay Forsberg (Meg) and Elizabeth Wadman (David) and seven grandchildren, Molly, Grace (Josue) and Willy McClintic and Caroline, Cort, Cate and Clay Wadman. He is also survived by his two great granddaughters Katerina and Elizabeth Garcia.
He was a Chartered Life Underwriter, agent and broker for 40 years with Connecticut Mutual and MassMutual. He particularly enjoyed sailing, tennis and skiing and all UVA sports. He graduated from Maury High School and the University of Virginia where he was a member of St. Elmo Hall. He was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Norfolk, Va where he served on the vestry, as well as Ware Episcopal Church in Gloucester, Va.
The Forsberg family is so appreciative of the caring support provided by the staff at the Gloucester House.
A Memorial service will be held at Ware Episcopal Church in Gloucester, Virginia on Tuesday, May 8 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends in the Parish hall immediately following the service. There will be a private burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Norfolk.
