Gail Wilkinson

May 19, 1958 — November 17, 2021

Gail Susan Wilkinson, who loved to be called “Momma Gail or Grandma Gail” by her kids, departed her loving family on November 17, 2021. Gail was born in Newport News, Virginia on May 19, 1958. She graduated from Warwick High School in Hampton. She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Carrie McClelland, sister Carol Pilgreen (Bud) and sister Diana McClelland. She is survived by her brother Raymond Keegan (Cheryl), sister Roseann Holland (Larry) and her son Christopher Weber (Crystal), daughter Ashley Myers (D), grandchildren Kaitlyn Lawson (Clint), Austin Weber, Chloe Myers, Lucy Myers, great-grandchildren Ariella and Beckett Lawson, Ex-husband William Wilkinson, and many many nieces and nephews and cousins.

Gail raised her children Chris and Ashley with love and devotion in Middlesex County as a Bus Driver, Custodian, and Nutrition Staff Member for 31 years. She watched so many of these children grow into adults and create families of their own. There wasn’t a place she would go and wouldn’t run into someone she knew. She lit up the room wherever she went with her infectious smile. Gail was known for her dependability and cheerfulness. She was patient, honest, friendly, and diligent always. She loved to read, work in the flower garden, fish, paint and dance. She was most proud of her children and grandchildren.

In memory of our mother, sister, family and friend we will be hosting a Celebration of life at Middlesex Elementary School on December 4, 2021 from 10am-12pm. Please note, anyone visiting the school must wear a mask even if they are vaccinated. In lieu of flowers, donations to Love4Kids Foundation can be made in Gail’s memory.
