Galen Lutz

Galen H. Lutz of Saluda, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. He was the widower of Mary Jane Lutz and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Galen was a retired superintendent from the Virginia Department of Transportation, a member of Forest Chapel United Methodist Church, a Pilgrim with the Gloucester Moose Lodge #886 and also a member of the American Legion Post #82 in Saluda.

Survived by his son, Carlyle Lutz (Sheri); a daughter, Janet Leigh West; a sister, Eileen Scott. Nine grandchildren, Alan, Chase, Christopher, Tiffany, Matthew, Tamara, Brady, Gavin and Connor and also twelve great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 29th from 6 until 8 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda where the Gloucester Moose Lodge will do a memorial service.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 30th at Mount Jackson Cemetery, Mount Jackson, VA.
