Genevieve B. Jones

Genevieve B. Jones departed this life and transitioned to her heavenly home on October 13, 2024. She was the only child born on February 25, 1933, to her adoring parents, Dellie and Delma Wilson. Ginny, as she was known, took great pleasure in her home and was a lifelong homemaker. She was known for her love of music, Elvis, family, dancing, her kindness and gentle personality. She lived a life worthy of her place in the Church Triumphant where she now resides and was a shining example of a life well lived.

 Ginny was a long standing and faithful member of Philippi Christian Church until her health failed. She was also a member of the Deltaville Rescue Squad Auxillary.

 Ginny leaves behind her loving and devoted son, Wayne Hudgins and his wife Patricia Prince along with an extended group of family and friends of which she was very fond.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Zoar Baptist Church Cemetery on Ballpark Rd in Deltaville. A reception will follow in the social hall of Philippi Christian Church. The family asks that in lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy be made to the Lower Middlesex Fire Department, Rescue Squad Auxillary or Philippi Christian Church.
