Gladys Elizabeth Sydnor

Gladys Elizabeth Sydnor, 89, of Tappahannock, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday , December 10, 2024. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leslie Sydnor, Sr.; her brothers, Melvin Gordon Davis “Jack,” Aubrey Stokes, Jr., and Jack Stokes. 

She is survived by her daughters, Autry Meyerhoeffer (Dale) of Verona, Mary Robin Jett (Jack) of Reedville, Teresa Vanlandingham (Kirk) of Lottsburg; her sons, James L. Sydnor, Jr. (Andrea) of Tappahannock, and James W. Sydnor (Linda); three step-children, Darlene Martin of Tappahannock, Sandra McKenney of Callao, and Cheryl Goodwin (Wes) of Callao; her brother, Calvin Randolph Davis (Joyce) of Spotsylvania, sister, Kathleen Bareford of Tappahannock, sister-in-law, Martha Davis of Tappahannock; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 13th, 2024 from 1-2:00 p.m., with the service following at 2:00 p.m. at Faulkner Funeral Home, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. Interment will follow in Essex Cemetery.
