Gordon Randolph Mason

Gordon Randolph Mason, 89, of North, Virginia, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Riverside Lifelong Health & Rehabilitation, Mathews. 

Gordon graduated from Mathews High School, class of 1953, and attended Richmond Professional Institute for two years where he studied accounting. He then served six years in the Air National Guard at Byrd Field in Richmond. Gordon worked at Amoco Oil Refinery in Yorktown for 18 years before moving on to Chesapeake Corporation in West Point, where he retired in 1995. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Foster. 

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, Randolph and Marian Mason, as well as his wife of 66 years, Audrey Mason. He is survived by his two sons, Robbie and Jim; three grandchildren, Taylor, Trent (Gracie), and Tucker and three great-grandchildren, Audrey, Jack, and Waverly. 

The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. to 2:00p.m., on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Foster-Faulkner Chapel, Mathews, followed by a funeral service at 2:00p.m. at the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Baptist Church, 1172 Ridgefield Road, Mathews, Virginia 23109.
