Grace King, 88, of Urbanna, passed away on January 22, 2016. Grace was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Robert Mulford King. She is survived by four children, Steven King (Merri Hansen-King) of Urbanna, David King (Charlene) of Spartanburg, SC, Ellen Conley (Don) of Fairfax, VA, and Barbara King-Searles (Bill) of San Antonio, TX. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Beatrice Rockhill, of Spring Lake, NJ. Predeceasing her are nine sisters and two brothers. A daughter-in-law Donna Proffitt King, (David), too predeceased her. Grace was born in Spring Lake, NJ and served her country during World War II. Though she worked outside the home, her most treasured occupation was being a loving mother to her four children. A devout Christian, she was a member of the Roman Catholic Faith. She had fiery red hair and was loved by all who knew her for her gracious personality and love of socializing with friends and family. After her retirement, she travelled extensively throughout Europe and enjoyed relating her many adventures and stories. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m., Friday, January 29th at Catholic Campus Ministry at The College of William & Mary, 10 Harrison Avenue, Williamsburg, VA, 23185.
