Helen Combs

Helen Hudgins, 63, of Deltaville and fondly known as Helen Combs, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022. She was a cook turned homemaker who loved cooking, canning, gardening, tending to her flowers, shopping, animals and puzzles. She loved to work on the water and had her waterman’s card for over 25 years. Helen also enjoyed helping and being there for other people.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother.

She is survived by the love of her life Ronald Combs; daughters, Tina Dean Spak, Barbara Hudgins and Sylvia Hudgins; stepdaughter, Ann Harrell and a brother, John W. Dean.

A Celebration of Life service will be planned the coming spring.

Faulkner Funeral Homes, Bristow-Faulkner Chapel, Saluda, Virginia is assisting the family.
