Jack Stokes

Jack Christopher Stokes, Sr. age 76, of Tappahannock, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, September 23, 2018. He is survived by his brother Aubrey Stokes; sisters, Kathleen Bareford and Gladys Sydnor; three children, Jack Stokes, Jr. (Tracy), Angie Martin (George), and Jennifer Packett (Gene); four beautiful granddaughters, Jessica Corker, Kimberly Thomas, Alexis Packett, and Brooke Packett and one great granddaughter Kassidy Corker.

His passions were taking care of his fur babies and cooking. His hobbies were listening to old country music and watching old western shows. He enjoyed making a living by owning Jack Stokes Towing, Inc. for over 30 years! He was well known for his business all the while making great friends along the way, because he never met a stranger. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to lend a hand. You could always tell when he was near by the sound of his whistling.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 26th at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock. Interment will follow at the Davis-Stokes Family Cemetery, Dunnsville, followed by a reception at Ephesus Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 6-9:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
