James Andrew Brooks, 80, of Tappahannock, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, and racing at Beanfield.
He was preceded in death by his siblings, Rosie Elliott and Raymond Brooks.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Iris Faye Clarke Brooks; his son, Andy Brooks (Cindy); daughters, Sheri Hughes, Stacey Brooks-Romero (Jose’); grandchildren, Ryan, Gregory, and Jimmy Brooks, Tyler and Hayden Hughes, and Alex and Zoey Romero; four great-grandchildren; and his brother, Felix Brooks.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Faulkner Funeral Homes, Marks-Bristow Chapel, Tappahannock, Virginia. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Essex Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Virginia, P. O. Box 2098, Tappahannock, VA 22560, or to any charity of your choice.
